110 Bishopsgate (Heron Tower)

The Heron Tower rises 230m and is designed as a series of three-storey office ‘villages’ comprising an open plan lower level, with two upper levels arranged around a triple height atrium. These atria overlook the city and bring daylight deep into the building. KPF positioned the core on the south side to open up the available floor-plate, reduce solar gain and act as a thermal shield. The building uses photovoltaic cells to generate renewable energy, allowing it to achieve a BREEAM rating of 'excellent'.
