12-20 Wyvil Road falls within the Vauxhall Nine Elms Battersea Opportunity Area, London. It will create 219 mixed tenure homes (1806 Habitable rooms per hectare). The 37 storey tower is flanked by several lower elements, arranged to define a north-south pedestrian route which connects the viaduct with the wider Vauxhall Nine Elms Masterplan. A series of ‘sky courts’ cut into the tower at differing levels providing high quality amenity spaces; along with the application of horizontal baguettes to the outer skin, the façade makes a dynamic addition to the skyline.
