64-66 Wigmore Street
This project redevelops the site of a 1980s completed office building which was too onerous to adapt to current standards of accessibility. The new development maximises its site footprint and excavates to a further basement level with many technical challenges; a three-storey atrium occurs to the West, with further terracing-back occurring upwards from the first floor, creating green roof decks and following sunlight and daylight splays. High quality materials are to be used, with the Wigmore Street and Marylebone Lane facades displaying sensitively scaled designs fitting for the location but with contemporary detailing. The project is targeting a BREEAM rating of ‘excellent’.
