Agar Grove Estate Regeneration

LBC is redeveloping a 1960’s estate to provide 496 homes, alongside community centre, shops and offices. The estate, currently detached from surrounding streets will be ‘stitched’ into the surrounding street pattern. All existing socially rented flats are being re-provided, with the existing community re-housed on site.

The buildings correspond to familiar types in the context; villas, mansion-blocks and towers. Materials used are predominantly brick and stone complementing and reflecting the surroundings. It is the UK’s largest Passivhaus scheme to date.
