British Business Embassy Pavilion

Throughout the London 2012 Olympics the British Government hosted the world’s business leaders at The British Business Embassy, Lancaster House. The temporary pavilion in the grounds acted as the key function space for events. The contemporary design’s simple elongated timber floor and roof enclosed on all sides by glass, contrasted with Lancaster House behind. The Pavilion was constructed largely off site as a series of pre-fabricated modules and assembly took just two weeks. UKTI estimate that events held at the Pavillion generated £5.9 bn in sales for UK businesses.
