Mount Pleasant Sorting Office, Farringdon Road, EC1
Mount Pleasant is one of the world's largest sorting offices, covering an area of 7.5 acres. It's home to an expansive set of 23 miles of train tunnels which were built to deliver the post and did so up until May 2003. Though the railway is no longer used the tunnels, running 70 feet under the streets of central London between Whitechapel and Paddington, still remain.
The renovation and refurbishment of the Mount Pleasant sorting office will enable this housing led, mixed use redevelopment of the service yard within the London Borough of Islington
