Paul Smith Facade

The darkly textured iron and oak facade of Paul Smith Albermarle Street is sleekly evocative of Mayfair’s Georgian past, with a sinuous pattern of interlocking circles on cast iron panels reinterpreting a regency motif. When seen obliquely they appear almost woven and draw further connections with the myriad influences brought to the project by Paul Smith. These disparate influences are reduced together forming a subtle new identity, engaged with its neighbourhood at the same time as contributing to its future character, offering a rare resistance to the homogeneity of the global high street.
