Queen Elizabeth Hospital
The redevelopment of the former Queen Elizbeth Hospital is in a conservation area adjacent to Haggerston Park. The design retains the main facades of the building with the greatest significant heritage value, as a permanent reminder of the site’s history. New buildings have developed behind, which blend the past with contemporary. Supported by the Greater London Authority (GLA) and London Borough of Tower Hamlets, the scheme has delivered 188 new homes, 72 of which are affordable as well as providing community enterprise space and basement parking.
