Silchester

Peabody worked with The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to deliver a major regeneration project next to Latimer Road underground station. Designed by RIBA Stirling Prize winners Haworth Tompkins Architects, the Silchester development comprises 112 homes (including 45 social rent and 39 shared-ownership), a community space and retail facilities. The scheme is designed around a communal garden, integrating an existing 20-storey tower within a new urban block. A new mews runs alongside the railway viaduct, opening up the arches for future employment and community use, and improving the visual and physical connections across the site.
