Student Residential Building, King's Cross

This new student residential building will provide 198 bedrooms, predominantly for use by graduate students attending the Aga Khan University - Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations (AKU-ISMC) and the Institute for Ismali Studies (IIS). The scheme is being developed on behalf of the Aga Khan Development Network, for whom it will be the first of a planned series of buildings at the King’s Cross site. The building comprises two 12 storey ‘bookend’ wings above a ground floor plinth, flanking a central eight-storey element, which is set back from the street. The ground floor offers flexible commercial use while communal roof garden spaces will be provided at first and eighth floors.
