UCLH Phase 4

UCLH Phase 4 is a new seven-storey hospital building comprising much-needed inpatient uses above ground, as well as cutting edge proton beam therapy cancer treatment below ground. The building will replace an existing 1930s building, which is no longer fit for medical use, and will also bring back into use a Central London site that has been vacant for 40 years. The approved scheme sympathetically responds to the character and appearance of its location within the Bloomsbury Conservation Area and neighbouring listed buildings. Through early engagement with surrounding residents and careful design it ensures residential amenity is preserved.
